I. Policy Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ExpenseEase ("we") collect, use, and protect user information when providing financial record services. ExpenseEase is used only to record personal income/expenses, generate financial reports, and manage budgets. Using this service means you agree to the data processing terms outlined in this policy.

II. Information We Collect

1. Personal Information You Provide

  • Account Registration Information: Name, phone number, password (for account creation and identity verification) provided when you register for ExpenseEase.
  • Financial Record Information: Amounts of income/expenses, transaction categories (e.g., food, shopping), transaction dates, payment methods (for logging only; we do not store sensitive payment account details), and expense notes you actively enter in ExpenseEase.

2. Non-Personal Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device model, OS version, screen size, unique device identifiers (such as Android ID, IDFA), used to ensure compatibility and security.
  • Usage Data: Your login times, logging operation history, feature usage frequency (e.g., number of times viewing reports), and error logs (anonymized and used to optimize the service).

III. Purposes of Using Information

  • Provide Core ExpenseEase Services: Log income/expense data, generate categorized reports, and send budget reminders (if you enable notification permissions).
  • Maintain Account Security: Verify login identity, prevent account abuse, and respond to password recovery requests.
  • Optimize Service Experience: Analyze usage data to improve feature logic (e.g., optimizing the category suggestion algorithm).
  • Send Regulatory Notifications: Send required notifications about policy changes, feature updates, etc., through ExpenseEase (non-essential notifications can be turned off in settings).

IV. Data Storage & Security Measures

1. Storage Standards

  • Local Storage: Income/expense records are stored by default on the local device.
  • Retention Period: If you do not log into your ExpenseEase account for 24 consecutive months, the account will be automatically deactivated and data deleted; when you actively delete your account, data will be deleted within 72 hours and cannot be recovered.

2. Security Measures

  • ExpenseEase uses SSL encryption for financial data transmission and prohibits plain-text transmission.

V. Information Sharing & Disclosure

  • Third-Party Service Providers: ExpenseEase uses third parties (e.g., cloud storage providers) only when necessary to process data, and such third parties are required to sign confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Disclosure: If ExpenseEase receives a legitimate request from legal authorities, or to protect user rights, necessary information may be disclosed (only to the extent required by law).
  • Anonymization: Summarized non-personal data (e.g., user spending trend statistics) may be used for market analysis but cannot identify specific individuals.

VI. User Data Management Rights

1. View & Update Information

  • You can view registration information in the ExpenseEase "Account Center" and delete or modify specific income/expense records.

2. Account & Data Deletion

  • Active Deletion: Submit a request via "Settings → Delete Account" in ExpenseEase. We will process it within 3 business days.

VII. Children's Privacy

ExpenseEase does not serve users under the age of 17. If a user is identified as a minor, we will promptly delete the ExpenseEase account and its data without retaining records.

VIII. Policy Changes & Notices

  • When the ExpenseEase Privacy Policy is updated, we will notify you via in-app pop-ups or announcements on the login page. Significant changes require renewed consent.
  • Continuing to use ExpenseEase means you accept the latest policy. If you do not agree, you can delete your account at any time.
